We now have a shiny new website, with a much cleaner look, much nicer images, and a better checkout process.
We now also have Online Gift Cards, so if you’re stuck for something to buy the knitters and crocheters in your life we can fix that for you!
Last week we ran into some pretty major website issues. Our payment provider didn’t work properly, so we could only take payments via Paypal. After lots of back and forth with suppliers we decided the best thing to do would be to rebuild the website to work directly with a payment provider. Being an IT person myself, it was time to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
We weren’t really happy with the look of the store or product pages, so we spent some time figuring out what we wanted and built it from scratch. Sounds easy right? A week (!) of doing pretty much nothing else later, we now finally have our new website up and running. We hope you’ll agree it looks much better now.
Since we were making changes, we decided to fix some things that had been bugging us for a while, so we now have a much simpler, visual store, much brighter, cleaner product pages, a blog, and a Get Involved page where you can see events and groups at a glance.
Why we’re different….
One thing that really annoys me when I shop is when companies have special ‘Online Only’ or ‘Instore’ offers. My feeling has always been that if you have a physical store but also sell online then the experience, the offers, and the price should be the same for everybody. As a result, EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT we have in the shop is also available on our website, from the biggest ball of yarn to the smallest button.
